Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Support Engineer to join a communications company that works with many leading UK blue‑chip clients. The role involves designing, optimising, maintaining and improving software build and deployment pipelines, while providing support to the BAU Infrastructure team. Once trained, the engineer will embrace DevOps techniques and develop and maintain operational standards for the release and deployment of software.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain software build and deployment pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Support the BAU Infrastructure team with day‑to‑day operations.
- Develop and maintain release and deployment operational standards.
Qualifications
- Solid IT infrastructure background with experience in VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux.
- Experience automating tasks with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Experience with software build and deployment, either manual or automated.
- Experience with T‑SQL.
