Software Developer – C#, Desktop, WEB, SQL – 45K

Location: West Midlands

Industry: IT

Salary: £35000 – £45000 per annum + Pension, 25 days holiday, bonus

Description

We are looking for a C# / Desktop or WEB / SQL developer to work on cutting‑edge scientific software products. The role is part of a fully established, competent development team reporting to the Development Manager.

  • Can you show proven C# experience on commercial software development?
  • Do you want to join a client that is revolutionizing their industry?
  • Are you comfortable developing using SOLID principles?

Technical environment: C#, .Net 4.0/4.5, Win Forms/Web, SQL Server, T‑SQL, WCF/WPF, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular.

As a .Net software engineer you will translate business requirements into software solutions by researching, designing and implementing C# algorithms. You will estimate, design and implement the logic that delivers system functionality and will adopt an end‑user perspective to test solutions adequately. This role covers all layers of the stack.

Development is carried out in an Agile/Scrum environment using SOLID principles, so prior experience with this methodology and working to sprints is preferred. Solid knowledge of backend development using SQL Server is required.

We value strong teamwork, excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Because the industry is highly regulated, attention to detail in documentation is essential.

This is a permanent role with a bright future.

Benefits: up to £45K, 25 days holiday, pension, bonus, and the flexibility to work from home up to three days a week. The role is based in the Midlands area, easily commutable from Birmingham, Tamworth, Stafford and Derby, and is accessible by public transport for local applicants.

Candidates of all ages and backgrounds will be considered for this role.
