Our client is a profitable and rapidly expanding software house that requires a Senior Software Support Engineer / SQL Application Implementation Engineer to join their busy Software Support team. Full training on the client’s software and formal SQL qualifications and certifications will be provided. Working hours are 9‑5, Monday to Friday. The office is based in the Leicestershire area of the East Midlands.
The role involves providing 1st‑ to 3rd‑line support for enterprise, CRM or financial software, including call logging and escalation, and implementing applications remotely and onsite. You will write SQL Server and T‑SQL scripts, interrogate databases, and assist with software implementation projects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an application software support or implementation support role
- Experience with 1st‑ to 3rd‑line software support and call logging
- Experience working in an enterprise, CRM, or financial software environment
- Strong SQL Server/T‑SQL knowledge and ability to write scripts
- Experience with software implementation, both remotely and on‑site
- Basic understanding of programming concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work arrangement: The first three months require almost full‑time presence in the office for training. After that, attendance is once a week. The role is hybrid and requires the ability to drive to the office.
