You will join as a core engineer responsible for building automation and AI features that eliminate manual financial workflows. Working directly with the CPTO, you will design scalable, dependable backend systems and contribute to product hypotheses. This is a high-impact role in a lean team where your code ships to customers rapidly.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain core backend services using Spring Boot, Java/Kotlin, and Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate across the business to translate user needs into pragmatic, well-tested technical solutions.
• Contribute to small frontend features in React to ensure seamless end-to-end product delivery.

The ideal candidate

• Proven experience as a backend engineer in a fast-paced startup environment with strong JVM or Rails skills.
• A pragmatic problem-solver who enjoys wearing multiple hats and building 80/20 solutions for rapid testing.
• Based in the UK and able to commute to Central London at least one day per week.
