Front-End Web Developer (Nottingham)

Location: East Midlands, Nottingham. Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum plus flexible benefits.

Job Summary

An award‑winning software house is looking for a Front‑End Web Developer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide high quality, innovative and effective software solutions and support services to the business, reporting to the Lead Web Application Developer and ensuring the layout, visual appearance and usability of our web‑based software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain responsive and adaptive web interfaces using HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Integrate with RESTful web services and manage data in JSON and XML formats.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design documents and improve usability.
• Ensure cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
• Work closely with the backend team to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Maintain and advance technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, CSS/CSS3, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with RESTful Web Services and a solid understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience working with UX/UI design documents.
• Passion for software innovation and technology.
• Knowledge of HR and Payroll concepts is an advantage but not required.
