Requirements

• Current live DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance is essential.
• Strong engineering mindset.
• Passion for automation and modern technology delivery.
• Agile experience, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work within highly secure environments.
• Mentoring and leadership experience is beneficial for more senior positions.
• Experience across some or all of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#.
• Experience with software application development, automated testing frameworks, and spec-driven software development.
• Experience with Git, GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, ArgoCD, Flux, and CI/CD pipeline design and management.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware Cloud Foundation, Kubernetes, Helm, containerisation technologies, and Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with Elastic, MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server, Kafka, and NiFi.
• Experience with security by design, Zero Trust, IAM, OAuth/OIDC, Keycloak, HashiCorp Vault, TLS/SSL, and PKI.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engineering platform capabilities.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Embed security controls across development lifecycles.
• Support engineering teams with tooling, guidance, and best practice.
• Drive automation and reduce manual processes.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, and observability.
• Manage source control, deployment frameworks, and engineering tooling.
• Support incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop reusable patterns, templates, and standards.
• Promote DevOps, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Help design, build, and support highly automated platforms that enable engineering teams to develop, test, secure, and deploy services efficiently and at scale.
