Responsibilities and Selection Criteria

Can you build a network from the ground up for a global client?
ROLE: As the Network Architect / Principal Network Engineer you will act as the Network specialist for the Global ever-evolving network. You will design, implement and ensure all network security complies with best practice and provides ultimate protection.
You will work alongside an infrastructure team but will be the sole person responsible for the network. This role will provide you with a blank canvas where you can re-design the network and bring in technologies you feel will suit the needs of the business – exciting projects.
As the Network expert you will also mentor other members of the team in terms of best practise ensuring all standards are met. You will also work on projects as well as manage BAU requirements for anything network related.
Technical Skills Required
- Networking technologies: Cisco, Brocade, HP, Checkpoint, Avaya (experience of any of these)
- Switches/Routers
- WAN/VPN
- Firewall/Router admin
- Enterprise IDS Admin
Qualifications
This role requires an Architect / Principal Network Engineer who is smart, intelligent (has a degree or equivalent), accountable and above all passionate about their craft. Someone who is responsible and wants to share their wealth of knowledge by leading by example and influencing the design of both WAN/LAN solutions for not just today’s world but tomorrows too.
