Level 2 SOC Analyst – Aylesbury (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Overview

We are recruiting for a growing cyber security business that is looking to add a Level 2 SOC Analyst to its Security Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to investigate real security incidents, improve detection capabilities, and advance your career without night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and investigating security alerts and incidents
• Triaging and responding to security events
• Improving detection rules and SOC processes
• Producing clear incident reports and technical documentation

Qualifications

• Previous SOC Analyst experience
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Sumo Logic, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or QRadar (more than one preferred)
• Experience with EDR technologies such as CrowdStrike
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200 or similar
• PowerShell or Python scripting experience
• Experience working within an MSSP or Managed Services environment
