Role Overview

The Estates Manager (Projects) will be responsible for providing specialist engineering support to both Operational Estates and Capital Projects functions across the Trust.

The post holder will work as an integrated member of the Estates and Facilities team and act as the principal engineering interface for capital developments, ensuring that engineering, compliance and operational requirements are fully considered throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional engineering advice relating to building services, infrastructure, plant and equipment to support the delivery of minor and major capital schemes, backlog maintenance programmes, statutory compliance works and estate improvement projects.
  • Work closely with Operational Estates, Capital Projects teams, Authorising Engineers, consultants and contractors to design, install, commission and maintain engineering systems in accordance with relevant legislation, HTMs, HBNs and Trust policies.
  • Undertake Authorised Person responsibilities in designated disciplines as determined by the Trust and provide specialist technical advice within those areas.
  • Contribute to the management of engineering services, contractor performance, project delivery, statutory compliance and the efficient operation of the Trust estate whilst supporting the Trust’s capital investment programme.
  • Support the development and delivery of minor and major capital schemes, backlog maintenance programmes, statutory compliance projects and estate improvement initiatives while maintaining focus on the operational requirements of a live healthcare environment.
