Job Purpose

To provide centralised support for the underwriting teams.

Responsibilities

  • CAPITA / PRO: Assist with the management of outsourcing contracts, including Risk Capture, USM processing, pre‑bind quality assurance (PBQA), credit control, and broker ledger.
  • Review, monitor, improve, and update procedures/processes and associated manual procedures.
  • TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE / TRAINING: Provide technical assistance and procedural/system training to internal teams and external partners, and answer queries promptly.
  • REPORTS: Prepare operational, performance, and statistical reports.
  • EXCEPTIONS REPORTS: Review and clear various exceptions and continually improve exception reporting.
  • SYSTEMS: Suggest and test system enhancements.
  • RISK CAPTURE QC: Perform risk capture quality control, liaise with Capita and underwriting teams, and improve processes and manuals.
  • GAAP: Review daily movements, liaise with underwriting teams and arrange corrective action when required.
  • GAAP WRITE‑OFF – SDDs: Assist underwriting teams with delaying/reversing GAAP write‑offs by amending SDDs in S2000 and publishing authorisation. Monitor upcoming write‑offs.
  • FACILITY EPI: Manage quarterly Facility EPI reviews and monthly reviews for SNG/SHA.
  • CREDIT CONTROL / BROKER LEDGER: Review credit control and broker ledger SLAs, improve processes and manuals, and liaise with underwriters and brokers concerning NOCs.
  • UAS: Compile the monthly underwriting administration statistics report, review SLAs, and improve the reporting process.
  • PBQA: Review the quality of work performed by the outsourced PBQA team and the responses of administrators to PBQA findings.
  • EVENT CODING: Perform event coding quality control, complete end‑of‑month reports, and liaise with the outward RI team.
  • BANKING AND CASH ALLOCATION: Check bank accounts, record new transactions on the WIP sheet, allocate and reconcile funds for various business entities.
