Support Manager — Secondary SEMH School, Basingstoke
Temporary to permanent position, starting September. Salary: £28,598.00 – £31,022.00 per year (FTE) – NJC Range 5; Actual salary £24,515 – £26,593.
Academics are supporting a successful Secondary SEMH school in Basingstoke that serves pupils aged 10–16 with Social, Emotional, and Communication Difficulties (SECID). This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children in an alternative education environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Manager to help manage behaviour and wellbeing of students with SECID.
- Work with the Support Team Lead to implement effective behavioural strategies.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the wider school community.
- Ensure consistent communication across the school and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people.
- Experience or interest in working with pupils with SECID or similar needs in an educational setting.
- Ability to collaborate with a dedicated staff team and adapt to an alternative education environment.
