Job Summary
Join our accredited ward at Northwick Park Hospital (Eastlake ward) as a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse. CNWL maintains high standards of clinical excellence and our ward is AIMS accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. This role supports staff development and offers opportunities for progression to Band 6 and further training.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide compassionate, person‑centred care to service users.
- Engage effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Support and model best practice clinical leadership on the ward and across the unit.
- Advance care quality by driving improvement initiatives for inpatients.
- Engage in TMVA training (Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression) and use of force techniques as required by the high-acuity environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nurse with proven experience in mental health settings.
- Excellent communication skills with users, carers and other professionals.
- Motivated to improve inpatient care and committed to continuous professional development.
- Team player who can provide strong clinical leadership.
- Capability to undertake TMVA training during employment.

Salary and Contract
Pay scheme: Agenda For Change – Band 5. Salary: £36,943 to £44,900 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time). Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: full‑time.
