Hospital and ECC Veterinary Surgeon – Days, PetMedics, Worsley Hospital, Manchester

We have a new opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced Hospital and ECC day team at PetMedics Worsley Hospital, Manchester. This role focuses on inpatient work and ECC consultations within a multidisciplinary team using advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities. Working hours are 31‑40 hours a week across four days, with one weekend shift in every four weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for inpatients and ECC consultations.
  • Perform diagnostic work‑ups, surgeries and treatments.
  • Manage and lead on varied case types, gaining confidence and sharing expertise.
  • Mentor team members and support their professional development.
  • Deliver client care, creating a positive and reassuring experience to build trust.

About the Role Environment

The hospital is equipped with modern facilities including four operating theatres, six consulting rooms, a dedicated intensive care unit, a permanent CT scanner, digital X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and an in‑house laboratory. The team includes Certificate holders in emergency, critical care, surgery, medicine, imaging, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology, and clinical pathology.
