Maintenance Engineer

Overview

Auxo Engineering are looking for a multi skilled engineer with an electrical bias to join our client based in Selby, Yorkshire on a full-time basis. They are a leading sustainable packaging manufacturer with a strong presence across Europe. They produce high-quality, sustainable corrugated packaging for a wide range of industries.

Responsibilities

• Work across shift patterns: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00 on a rotating weekly basis.
• Complete a structured training plan, spending time across all areas of the department and working closely with the maintenance team to gain a full understanding of machinery, processes and procedures.
• Join the 3-shift rotation once up to speed, working alongside experienced Engineers to keep production running at its best.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of colleagues, following all risk assessments and procedures.
• Collaborate with Cell Technicians and Cell Leaders to maximise production output and minimise downtime.
• Ensure machines are in top mechanical and electrical condition to consistently produce high-quality products.
• Maintain a tidy, organised work area and follow all health, safety, hygiene and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified apprentice-trained Electrical Engineer (Level 3). City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Multi-skilled with experience in both mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
• PLC and drive knowledge is an advantage.
• GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Previous electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Salary & Experience

• Salary: GBP 30,708 – 40,000 per year
• Experience: 1 year required
