The role
As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you lead the design, integration and maintenance of high‑integrity EC&I systems across nuclear facilities. Day‑to‑day, you’ll
- Deliver high‑quality administrative and coordination support across projects and teams.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting in line with company standards.
- Monitor progress against deadlines and proactively resolve issues to keep tasks on track.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
This is a full‑time role, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation of three days on site. The role is based at one of our key locations – Moor Row (Cumbria), Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Travel to customer sites may be required depending on project needs.
Essential experience
- Design and deliver EC&I systems in regulated environments.
- Apply nuclear safety standards such as IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
- Work within cross‑functional teams on complex engineering projects.
- Engage with regulators, clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
- Produce and review technical documentation including specifications and safety case contributions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
