About the Employer
Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd is based at the European manufacturing plant in Worcester, which also houses the European Technology Centre (ETC). The plant assembles machine tools, manufactures its own components and provides a dedicated engineering team to support customers across a wide range of industry sectors.
What You’ll Do
During the apprenticeship you will learn how to:
- Install, service and repair Mazak CNC machines
- Diagnose faults, check machine alignments, and replace electrical drives, motors and encoders
- Work field‑based in the Midlands, visiting customers and travelling as required
- Spend the second year at the European headquarters in Worcester
Training Outcome
Specialisation in a core module, HNC/Level 4 apprenticeship, and recommendations based on college feedback. The programme also supports progression to foundation degree or management qualifications for Team Leaders, Application Engineers, Production Engineers, and other specialist roles.
