What are we looking for

The Lead Industrialisation Engineer is a key member of the Production Engineering team responsible for coordinating the introduction, ramp‑up, and industrialisation of new manufacturing equipment and processes across production areas.

The role focuses on ensuring the successful transition of new technologies and processes from development into stable and scalable production. This includes coordinating activities across Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Quality, Production, and external suppliers to ensure alignment, readiness, and successful execution during industrialisation and ramp‑up phases.

A key aspect of the role is providing technical understanding of manufacturing processes to support decision making, identify gaps, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently during commissioning and production introduction. The role acts as a central coordination point to ensure industrialisation activities are properly sequenced, risks are identified early, and production readiness is achieved in a controlled and structured way.

Working closely with Principal Engineers and functional engineering teams, the Lead Industrialisation Engineer ensures that manufacturing requirements are effectively translated into executable plans and that equipment and processes are successfully integrated into production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the end-to-end industrialisation of new manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring successful transition from development into stable production.
  • Act as a central coordination point across engineering, production, quality, and suppliers during ramp‑up and industrialisation activities.
  • Plan, track, and coordinate industrialisation activities across multiple projects, ensuring delivery of key milestones such as installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and production readiness.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and technical or operational gaps that may impact ramp‑up and ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers and Automation Engineers to ensure equipment integration and manufacturing processes are aligned and ready for production use.
  • Support technical alignment discussions across disciplines, ensuring manufacturing and automation requirements are clearly understood and translated into executable plans.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support during commissioning and ramp‑up activities to help unblock issues and maintain progress across teams when required.
  • Support structured troubleshooting discussions across process and equipment topics, without owning detailed process or automation system design.
  • Ensure lessons learned from industrialisation activities are captured, structured, and fed back into future equipment introductions and process improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of industrialisation methods, tools, and standards to improve ramp‑up efficiency, predictability, and scalability.
  • Support coordination between internal engineering teams and external suppliers during equipment introduction and industrialisation phases

About You

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechatronics (HND/HNC with relevant experience also considered).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, including experience leading industrialisation projects.
  • Experience in manufacturing industrialisation, production engineering, or equipment introduction into production environments.
