About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UC Systems Engineer to join a growing and innovative technology solutions provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer‑focused engineer with a strong background in Unified Communications (UC), IP telephony, and technical support.
You will play a key role in delivering installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support services across a diverse UC technology portfolio. Working closely with customers, project teams, support specialists, and sales colleagues, you will help ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support Unified Communications systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system‑related issues.
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers.
- Manage faults and service tickets in line with agreed SLAs.
- Liaise with project and support teams to ensure efficient job completion and customer communication.
- Support the sales function with technical expertise during customer engagements and solution design.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and technical standards.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge across UC and related technologies.
- Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong background within the telecommunications or Unified Communications industry.
- Solid understanding of UC IP technologies, telephony systems, and network topologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, fault‑finding, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience working within SLA‑driven environments.
- Excellent organisational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and expanding technical expertise.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
- Understanding of broader IT infrastructure and support environments.
- Experience working to high technical and service standards.
- Based within the North West region.
