A Technical Author is needed to join our international software house in Derby.
The role is an initial 6 month contract with a strong chance of extension thereafter.
As a Technical Author you will report directly to the Head of Development as this is a key role within the organisation.
As a Technical Author you will take ownership of the production of technical materials for the company and will have experience as a technical author/technical writer within a software house or software environment.
You will be responsible for taking all technical input from our development staff and other technical sources and maintaining all help and other technical documentation.
Key skills needed for the Technical Author role:
- Exceptional verbal and written English language skills
- A clear and concise, well presented writing style
- The ability to document and describe software functionality to a wide readership, some of whom will be non-technical
- At least 4-5 year’s experience as a Technical Author is needed to succeed in this role
