Junior Geotechnical Engineer, Engineering Geologist

Responsibilities

• Support impressive portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects both in the UK and internationally.
• Collaborate in teams where contributions matter.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships working on strategic projects across the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Requirements

• A good academic background with a degree in civil engineering or geology / geoscience and a post graduate qualification in a geotechnical subject.
• A good understanding of ground investigation techniques.
• Proven site experience including ground investigation supervision, site walkover surveys/ geotechnical inspections.
• Geotechnical design experience of structures, foundations and earthworks.
• Experience in general numerical software such as Geostudio, Repute, Wallap etc.
• Working towards Chartered status.
• Experience of working in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
• A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.
• A valid UK driving licence.
