Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical engineering and machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3)
- Demonstrate practical electrical and machine concepts during lab sessions
- Supervise trainee‑led laboratory work aligned with module content
- Administer and invigilate both paper‑based and online examinations
- Mark and check‑mark assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain and update training materials with Training Design staff
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- At least a Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electrical Engineering, or proven teaching/practical experience in Electrical Engineering
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in theory and practical use of Electrical Machines (DC Motors/Generators, AC Motors/Generators) and Three Phase AC systems
- Classroom experience teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment, ideally with at least a Level 4 teaching qualification
- Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent)
