Role Purpose
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the company’s PPM and task schedules.
- Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner.
- Production of technical and situational reports as required.
- Proactively use the technology systems given to you so that the Company can always be compliant with its contractual obligations.
- Carry out the works requested in a professional and proactive manner at all times.
- To communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients at all times.
- Provide first line out of hours call out for the site.
- Writing activity reports in line with Company procedures accurately and timely.
- Proactively assist the management team to produce quotations by giving accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified.
- Attend team meetings/briefings as requested at all times.
- Provide accurate time‑sheet information weekly and on time.
- Ensure that the Company is presented in a good light at all times.
- Undertake reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team.
- Escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager ASAP once noticed.
- Manage integral sub‑contractors whilst working on site.
- Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and be equally aware of your own roles and responsibilities within the Company.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Actively participate in the health and safety processes required under the Company policies and procedures on portfolio, including accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing.
- Follow any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager or their line managers.
- Co‑operate with the company to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience within Maintenance or similar.
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar.
- C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
- 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (must be able to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th).
- C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Must have good IT and report‑writing skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear‑thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
