We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Healthcare Estates team at Sodexo, Queen Mary’s Hospital. Your role will involve maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient hospital environment, supporting the operation of critical electrical infrastructure across the healthcare estate to ensure essential services remain available to patients, staff and visitors at all times.

What You Bring

  • Relevant HTM & Electrical Qualifications level 3, 8th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing electrical building services systems in a healthcare, critical environment or similarly regulated setting
  • Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety standards, statutory compliance requirements and safe systems of work

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical building services systems
  • Diagnose faults, undertake repairs and restore services safely and efficiently
  • Maintain and support electrical infrastructure including LV distribution systems, switchgear, emergency lighting, generators, UPS systems and associated equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory regulations, healthcare technical standards (HTMs), site procedures and safe systems of work
  • Support compliance activities by maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Experience working with planned and reactive maintenance programmes within a live operational environment
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, building effective relationships across multidisciplinary environments
  • Proactive, safety‑focused approach with strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities

Desirable

  • HTM Level 3 training, inspection and testing qualifications
  • Healthcare estates experience
  • CAFM system experience
  • Exposure to critical infrastructure such as generators, IPS and UPS systems
