Job Summary

The role is for a Graduate Structural Engineer, likely to be the next senior member of a small, up‑and‑coming structural engineering practice based in London. You will be given the autonomy and support to grow rapidly, with the goal of chartership and future leadership within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of project development from initial concept to detail drafting, focusing on architecturally driven bespoke projects.
  • Prepare structural calculations and design drawings for a wide range of building types, including 5‑storey RC frame new builds, vertical extensions, supermarkets with flats above, embassies, bespoke residential schemes, private houses, and multi‑storey townhouses.
  • Support the design of challenging ground conditions such as conversion of garages to housing and temporary works schemes.
  • Use Revit for BIM modelling and coordination.
  • Attend client meetings and collaborate closely with architects to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Work towards professional chartership, gaining experience and mentorship in the process.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Structural Engineer, ideally with 6 months to 1 year of buildings design experience.
  • Strong interest in career development and a commitment to achieving chartership.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Revit is advantageous, but not mandatory for a fresh graduate.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is offered.
