This is a Process Engineering Lead opportunity. The role is responsible for leading the delivery of process engineering activities across water and wastewater projects while providing technical guidance and support to a growing engineering team. It combines hands-on process engineering expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the delivery of process engineering activities across multiple projects.
- Review process designs, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with client requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Promote engineering best practices and maintain high technical standards across projects.
Project Delivery
- Support projects from concept design through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Identify technical risks and contribute to practical engineering solutions.
- Provide process engineering expertise throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers within the team.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
- Support the development of engineering procedures and best practices.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Participate in technical meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide technical input and support throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical, Process, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience working on water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
- Understanding of process engineering principles and treatment technologies.
- Experience supporting projects through design and delivery is beneficial.
Skills
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfortable preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and standard engineering software.
Other Requirements
- An interest in mentoring and supporting the development of others.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
- Chartered status, or working towards it, is welcomed but not essential.
