Job Description:

This is a Process Engineering Lead opportunity. The role is responsible for leading the delivery of process engineering activities across water and wastewater projects while providing technical guidance and support to a growing engineering team. It combines hands-on process engineering expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead the delivery of process engineering activities across multiple projects.
  • Review process designs, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure engineering solutions align with client requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Promote engineering best practices and maintain high technical standards across projects.

Project Delivery

  • Support projects from concept design through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Identify technical risks and contribute to practical engineering solutions.
  • Provide process engineering expertise throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers within the team.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
  • Support the development of engineering procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to building a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Participate in technical meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide technical input and support throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical, Process, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working on water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
  • Understanding of process engineering principles and treatment technologies.
  • Experience supporting projects through design and delivery is beneficial.

Skills

  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and standard engineering software.

Other Requirements

  • An interest in mentoring and supporting the development of others.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
  • Chartered status, or working towards it, is welcomed but not essential.
