GAP Pumps & Power Services provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions. GAP Power Solutions includes a large range of generators, fuel tanks, cables and MDU/AMF panels power solutions.
About the role
The Workshop Manager is responsible for the efficient running of the depot, including maximising the availability of equipment for hire, allocating and monitoring the workload of the engineers and yard operatives, and ensuring that all equipment is maintained and kept in working order at all times. The role also involves supporting and developing your team to maximise performance while ensuring health and safety within the depot workshop.
About you
- Experience working in pumps or power is preferable, though applicants from a plant hire background will also be considered.
- Ideal for an engineer looking to progress into management.
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to develop and manage teams within a fast-paced depot environment.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
