Mechanical Design Engineer
Plymouth, commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton
Up to GBP46,000 per annum + bonus + flexi time + hybrid + early finish on Friday + pension + extra benefits

The company is a well‑established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that are renowned for the quality of their products and for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

The Role
- Produce 3D models and concepts and 2D production drawings for sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies.
- Support both product updates and NPI projects, actively contribute to continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives.
- Work closely with internal teams including engineering, sales, procurement, and production.
- Monday – Friday 39 hours, core hours 8am – 4:30pm while operating flexi hours and hybrid working.

The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (or significant relevant experience).
- CAD software experience (Creo and/or Inventor desirable).
- Sheet metal and fabrication design experience desirable.
