Overview
Company ALPINE RACING LIMITED is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join its Mechanical Design group within the Engineering Office at Enstone. The role is instrumental in developing complex suspension components and subsystems, and contributing to the performance of the Alpine F1 team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to detailed design specifications from cradle to grave.
- Define and support component or system validation, servicing and utilisation.
- Resolve any design issues as they arise.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Concept design and scheming of components.
- Detail machined parts, patterns, molds and specify laminates.
- Develop necessary component jigs and build tooling.
Qualifications
- Degree level education in Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of engineering first principles.
- Previous experience in Formula One or other high‑level motorsport is desirable.
- Experience with CATIA V5/3DX is ideal; training provided if expertise lies in NX or similar.
- Self‑motivated, analytical, pragmatic decision‑maker capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Creative, innovative and consistent approach to problem‑solving.
