Overview of the project
Unlocking Collections, Empowering Communities is a collections-led project that places community engagement at its core. By actively involving audiences in shaping and interpreting our collections, we will ensure the museum remains relevant, inclusive, and empowering for the long term. The project will uncover new stories, broaden participation, and strengthen the connection between the collection and the community it represents.
At Nantwich Museum, our collections are central to our mission to protect, preserve, and educate. They underpin our exhibitions, school programmes, and research. However, there is significant untapped potential to use these collections to deepen community participation—and to draw on public knowledge to enrich and expand our often limited records.
This project is the vital first stage to unlocking that potential.
Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining how your experience, knowledge and skills meet the requirements of the role.
