Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Manager to spearhead a major data centre project in Mons. Valued at approximately £100 million. As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring its successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. This position demands a candidate with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects and a keen understanding of the unique challenges associated with data centre construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial aspects of the data centre project, including budget management, contract negotiations, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and project deliverables.
• Implement and enforce robust commercial and contractual processes to safeguard project interests.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and the client to enhance project success.
• Provide strategic guidance on procurement and vendor selection to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in large-scale construction projects, particularly within the data centre sector.
• Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budget management.
• Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards project goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Construction Management).
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with data centre projects is highly desirable.
