Position Overview
The NHS Borders Estates Department is seeking an experienced Estates Programme Manager based at Borders General Hospital (Melrose) with flexible work across the Scottish Borders region. The role leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of project managers, officers and related roles, ensuring the delivery of Estates and Capital programmes and associated projects and supporting strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the effective delivery of Estates and Capital programmes and associated projects.
- Oversee multidisciplinary team, project managers, officers, and related roles.
- Ensure safe, effective and efficient delivery of projects, national workstreams and directives (e.g. WSIP, BCP).
- Operate autonomously with sound judgement in prioritising competing operational and strategic demands.
- Maintain formal appointments to Authorised/Responsible Person roles, maintain competencies through training, and represent the Board at national level as required.
Qualifications
- Full/valid driving licence.
Essential requirements
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Experience leading services through periods of change.
