Housing Growth Project Officer

We are looking for a Housing Growth Officer to lead and support the delivery of projects and programmes related to housing growth in Kirklees.

Responsibilities

• Lead work on diverse housing growth projects of varying complexity and scale.
• Provide project management support to team members, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Engage with key partners, council services, developers, and funders to unlock sites and build a mix of new homes.
• Promote low‑carbon technologies and modern methods of construction.
• Support the delivery of strategic urban extensions, specialist housing, repurposing of landmark and historic buildings, and temporary accommodation for urgent housing needs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of project management techniques and housing development.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication, report writing and people skills.
• Self‑sufficient, organised and motivated.
