Job Description
As the new Market Pricing Manager at Utility Warehouse, you will take ownership of pricing decisions and shape the next stage of the company’s insurance journey. You will lead the design, development and deployment of our market pricing, commission optimisation and lifetime value modelling across our insurance product suite.
What you’ll do
- Lead our insurance pricing approach: Take complete ownership of market pricing, commission optimisation and customer LTV models across all insurance products.
- Manage trading: Drive product performance to hit ambitious sales and customer value targets.
- Build the models: Maintain and upgrade customer and market behaviour models, embed WTW Radar and use SQL and other data tools for complex modelling.
- Shape strategies: Recommend data‑driven pricing plans aligned with long‑term insurance goals.
- Do the right thing: Ensure every pricing action champions fair outcomes and meets regulatory requirements.
Team & Culture
You will report directly to the Head of Insurance and work within the Commercial Growth team. The environment is collaborative, high‑pace and offers opportunity to shape change as we scale.
Qualifications
- Data and numbers wizard: Degree in a numerical subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent commercial experience.
- Insurance know‑how: Expert experience in general insurance pricing and deep understanding of price optimisation.
- Tech savvy: Hands‑on experience with WTW Radar (or similar) and ability to embed the tool at Utility Warehouse.
- SQL and modelling expert: Proficiency with SQL for complex data and advanced statistical techniques for customer modelling.
- Great communicator: Ability to translate complex data into clear plans for senior managers and directors.
- Good-hearted teammate: Commitment to customer interests and fair outcomes.
