About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Agent to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Ipswitch. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering works while leading site operations in a safe, efficient, and collaborative environment. As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all on‑site construction activities.
- Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery plans where required.
- Prepare and review RAMS, work programmes, and site documentation.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, local authorities, and otherstakeholders.
- Manage labour, plant, materials, and resources efficiently.
- Support commercial activities, including cost control, variations, and reporting.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and regular progress meetings.
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting.
Essential Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Desirable: Temporary Works Coordinator.
- NRSWA Supervisor.
- Experience working on local authority or National Highways projects.
- Knowledge of digital construction tools and site management software.
