Senior Support Worker

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home based in the Weymouth, Dorset area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.

This is a nursing and residential care home that is perfectly positioned in one of the most beautiful seaside towns on England’s south coast, set to open soon.

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contribute to care planning and coach support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Make and report realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• Good team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £14.25 per hour (annual salary £26,676) and this permanent, full‑time role is for 36 hours per week.
