Support Workers in Education needed near Guildford. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of autistic adults. This role is based at an Adult Day Centre near Guildford and offers a rewarding opportunity to support learners with autism in educational and daily living activities.

About The Role
You will join a compassionate and dedicated team at the adult day centre, supporting autistic learners aged 18 and over. As a Support Worker, you will:
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to help learners develop essential skills for greater independence, well-being, and social engagement.
- Implement behaviour-based teaching strategies and interventions to foster positive outcomes.
- Assist learners in applying their skills in practical, real-life situations, both within the Centre for Lifelong Learning and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care, support, and educational assistance to autistic adult learners.
- Design and deliver lessons and activities that promote skill development and personal growth.
- Offer behaviourally-informed support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life.
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene, while encouraging learners to maintain these routines independently.
- Facilitate learners’ involvement in social, leisure, and educational activities in the local community.
- Help learners access work experience and employment opportunities.
- Monitor and record learner progress to ensure tailored, effective support.
