Role: Radiology Department Assistant
Location: The London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients, part of London Bridge Hospital Campus, Central London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00
Type: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging team at The London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients.
Responsibilities
As a Radiology Department Assistant, you will support our Imaging team across London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients, working flexibly across a range of services including women’s health, breast, gynaecology and general ultrasound clinics. You’ll assist Consultants, Radiographers and Nurses during examinations and procedures, prepare and support patients throughout their visit, manage appointments and registrations using Meditech, utilise PACS, and undertake a variety of administrative duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Radiology Department Assistant within a hospital setting
- Essential experience supporting ultrasound services, including women’s health and/or breast imaging
- NVQ Level 3, Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare qualification
- Strong IT skills with experience using clinical systems and patient administration systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑focused approach
- Ability to work effectively across multiple clinics and adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
