Role: Experienced Legal Secretary – Clinical Negligence Team, Edinburgh
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our successful Clinical Negligence Team in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities include:
- Chasing medical reports, reviewing records and preparing trial bundles.
- Managing medical/treatment instructions and sending instructions to Counsel.
- Paying disbursements and drafting letters to clients.
- Running retainers, assisting our Fee Earners with various tasks, reviewing CCTV and booking legal hearings.
- Managing administrative tasks such as arranging conferences and assisting with ledgers (client balances and aged debt), file transfers and providing updates to our clients.
Qualifications
- Previous legal secretarial experience.
- Law degree is not required.
