Forklift Driver

We are looking for a Forklift Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently, ensuring schedules, customer requirements, and health and safety rules are met while maintaining high quality standards.

The Position

• Ensure all procedures relating to the safe operation of forklift trucks are strictly adhered to
• Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date and is completed fully and accurately (e.g., forklift check sheet, loading plans, rejects and hopper sheet)
• Ensure forklift maintenance is carried out (e.g., cleaning the forklift, water, oil, diesel, and tyre pressure)
• Report any problems with your forklift immediately
• Stack bins, pallets, and trays neatly, in the correct place and to the correct height
• Operate your truck safely, checking loads are secure and being aware of people, avoiding damage to buildings and machinery
• Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to your immediate supervisor as soon as possible after the event
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business

The perfect candidate

• Valid Counterbalance B1 forklift licence essential
• Ability to prioritise tasks and problem‑solve
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
