Lecturer – Groundworks & Highways Maintenance

Brinsbury College, part of the Chichester College Group, invites applications for a full‑time, permanent Lecturer in Groundworks and Highways Maintenance. The role offers a competitive salary of £27,785 – £43,325 per annum and requires 37 hours per week over 52 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical teaching across construction‑related programmes, focusing on groundworks and highways.
  • Prepare learning materials, assessments, and assignments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide teaching and learning related support, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Administer teaching matters, compile reports and statistics on student performance.
  • Achieve high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Develop curricula and learning activities, incorporating literacy and numeracy development and equality and diversity considerations.
  • Fulfil safeguarding duties and personal responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in a related subject.
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
  • Strong time‑management, organisational skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse range of people, verbally and in writing.
