Due to continued company growth, we are seeking to appoint a Class 2 Jet Vac Driver / Operator to join our Kirkby in Ashfield.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV Class 2 vacuum tankers for the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of liquid waste, sludge, and other materials.
  • Carry out both local and nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring adherence to driving hours, route plans, and client schedules.
  • Complete pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
  • Safely load and unload materials using appropriate hoses, fittings, and pumping systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, disposal notes, and waste transfer documentation.
  • Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to coordinate routes and schedules efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to environmental, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Carry out tank cleaning and decontamination work as required in line with operational procedures.
  • Represent Quest Waste Management professionally on client sites, maintaining high standards of customer service and site conduct.
  • Report any incidents, defects, or near misses promptly to management.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and presented to company standards.
  • Support team members and assist with training and mentoring when required.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
  • Driver CPC (required).
  • Tachograph Card (required).
  • Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors.
  • Practical, hands‑on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes.
