Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Domestic Assistant within our Hotel Services based at UHA. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
0700-1230/30 Mon-Fri Day Shift = 25 Hrs
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
- Provide a wide and varied range of Domestic Services which support Clinical Services across Ayrshire and Arran, in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification to fulfil Healthcare Environment Inspectorate Standards and meet Facilities Monitoring Tool Targets.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
- Work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills.
- Have good communication, verbal or otherwise, and practical skills.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
- Attend Corporate Induction including completion of Mandatory Learn Pro Modules.
- Undertake departmental job training including operation of equipment and safe use of cleaning materials, providing flexibility within all areas of Domestic Services.
- Proficiency in Domestic Services Core Value Statement.
- Proficiency in Organisational Policies.
- Proficiency in Caldicott Guidelines.
- Proficiency in Safe Systems of Work/Work Schedules.
- Proficiency in Departmental Risk Assessments (COSHH, General, Moving and Handling).
- Proficiency in Codes of Practice/Infection Control Guidelines.
- Correct and economical use of materials and equipment.
- Use of PPE waste management.
- Linen Bagging Policy.
- Security Procedures.
- Datix.
- Job Shadowing (usually first week).
