Senior Architectural Technician
About us
Millson Group is a growing architectural practice based in Greater Manchester, delivering residential and commercial projects across the North West. We’re a close-knit team that takes real pride in the quality of our work — from early design through to the technical detail that gets a scheme built. As our workload grows, we’re looking for a talented Senior Architectural Technician to join us and help shape the technical output of the practice.
The role
Do you want your drawings to actually get built? This is a hands-on, full-time role for a Senior Architectural Technician who takes pride in turning good design into buildable reality.
You’ll be at the technical heart of our residential and commercial projects — producing and reviewing detailed construction drawings, coordinating architectural information, and solving the design problems that make or break a scheme on site. Working closely with our architects, engineers, and consultants, you’ll help drive projects from concept through to completion, with real ownership over the quality and accuracy of what leaves the door.
This is a role for someone who’s ready to step up: to lead on detailing, mentor where needed, and set the standard for the technical output of the practice.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing and reviewing CAD and Revit models to a high technical standard
- Resolving technical design issues and developing robust, buildable detailing
- Coordinating architectural information across residential and commercial schemes
- Liaising with architects, engineers, and external consultants to keep projects moving
- Contributing to project planning and design development
- Supporting quality assurance across design and construction documentation
What you’ll bring
- A strong grounding in Architectural Technology and a genuine eye for detail
- Advanced Autodesk Revit skills — confident producing accurate plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models
- A solid command of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials across new-build and refurbishment
- Proven experience across residential and commercial projects
- A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Experience in a senior or lead technician role, and the confidence to own your work
- Sharp communication skills and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- The drive to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate, buildable information every time
- Experience with TANZ would be beneficial
