Job Description Clinical Pharmacist – Band 6 n Northampton General Hospital | University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group n Full-Time, Perm or Bank n Rotational Post n Start Date: ASAP n We are working with Northampton General Hospital to recruit a Band 6 Clinical Pharmacist to join their supportive and progressive hospital pharmacy team. n This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills across a wide range of specialties, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care. n About the Role n As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will rotate across a variety of services, including: n n n Ward-based clinical pharmacy (approx. 60%) n n Dispensary-based services (approx. 20%) n n Emergency duty and other pharmacy functions (approx. 20%) n n Key responsibilities include: n n n Supporting safe and effective use of medicines across the Trust n n Participating in ward rounds, medicines reconciliation, and patient counselling n n Providing clinical advice and medicines optimisation support n n Contributing to audit, service improvement, and guideline development n n Supporting dispensary services and medicines supply processes n n Working collaboratively with medical, nursing, and pharmacy teams n n You will gain exposure across multiple specialties including medicine, surgery, critical care, oncology, paediatrics, and medicines information. n Essential Requirements n n n Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or equivalent) n n GPhC registration n n Completion of pre-registration training n n Strong communication and organisational skills n n Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team n…
