Job Description General Practitoner with Extended Role – ADHD / Mental Health n Location: Community ADHD Services n Contract Type: Employed or Contractor n Salary: n n n Employed: £10,750 per session per annum n n Contractor: £400 per session n n Start Date: As soon as possible n n About the Role n Our client is recruiting a GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) in ADHD/Mental Health to join its expanding community neurodevelopmental service. n Working alongside an experienced consultant-led multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support the assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of adults with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions within a community-based setting. n This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with an interest in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders looking to further specialise within a growing service. n Key Responsibilities n n n Conduct ADHD assessments, follow-up reviews, and medication monitoring n n Support patient management including titration, prescribing, and treatment planning n n Manage patient queries and provide clinical advice regarding ADHD medications and side effects n n Review and interpret investigation results including ECGs and blood tests n n Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, GPs, and MDT colleagues n n Support clinical governance, audits, and service development initiatives n n Maintain accurate documentation using SystmOne and associated clinical systems n n Contribute to patient education and support around ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders n n What We’re Looking For n Essential n n n MRCGP qualification n n General psychiatry or mental health experience n n Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders n n Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills n n Ability to work independently and flexibly within community services n n Desirable n n n Previous ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience n n Experience delivering education or training n n Experience within community mental health services n n Experience using SystmOne n n What’s on Offer n n n Flexible employed or contractor arrangements n n Opportunity to specialise within ADHD and neurodevelopmental services n n Supportive consultant-led MDT environment n n Ongoing development and accredited ADHD training opportunities n n Predominantly community and virtual service model n n If you are a GP with an interest in ADHD and mental health services looking for your next opportunity, we would welcome a confidential discussion….
