Trust Executive

Job Description Top 50, award winning, UK Law firm with over 700 lawyers nationally wishes to recruit a Trust Executive that is able to provide effective leadership of a team of Trust and Executor Tax Executives, and successfully manage key client relationships and to help develop the firms Trust and Executor Tax offering. n   n This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management, operational oversight and supervision of Trusts and Estates Tax Team (comprising four team members). This includes managing of a portfolio of high-net worth Trusts and driving the strategic development of our Trusts and Estates Tax business. n   n Key responsibilities include:- n n Conducting KPI and SRA matter reviews. n Line management responsibilities including quarterly appraisals and team development. n Day to day responsibility for financials of Trusts and Estates Tax Team. n Assistance with development of internal processes, policies and procedures. n Leading of initiatives of Trusts and Estates Tax work internally and externally. n Providing trust administration and tax compliance services for a diverse client portfolio of trusts and estates. n Regular reporting to and collaboration with the Partner head regarding all of the above. n Supporting the development and expansion of our Trust Corporation offering. n Assisting with technical trust and tax advisory queries from the rest of the firm. n Assisting with FATCA, TRS and CRS reporting for the firm’s clients. n Maintaining high standards of technical accuracy and quality control within the team. n n   n Our ideal candidate will be someone who:- n n is an experienced Trusts and Estates tax advisor; n is experienced in all forms of trust tax/trust administration and management; n Is familiar with the preparation of trust accounts; n has strong organisational and leadership skills; n enjoys collaborative working and takes initiative; n has had experience of developing and managing more junior colleagues; n has had experience with Trust Corporations; n is keen to help develop our Trusts and Estates Tax offering; n n   n Benefits n n 30 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays n Long Service holiday award – 1 extra week every 10 years continuous service n Private Healthcare with BUPA (offered after probation is passed) n Scottish Widows Pension Scheme (5% employer / 5% Employee) n Staff Profit Share and Individual Performance Bonus Scheme n Salary sacrifice (Pensions, Staff Profit Share) n Life Assurance – 4 x salary / Permanent Health Insurance n Paid CSR Day n Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave n Subsidised gym membership n Electric car scheme n Agile/Hybrid Working Policy n…
