Vickerstock are working with a leading civil engineer to recruit Graduate and Junior Civil Engineers across the South West of Ireland

Role: Junior Civil Engineer
Sector: Water & Wastewater
Your new role
As a Junior Civil Engineer you will work across the below areas:
- Site Supervision – including the supervision of subcontractors, ensuring works are completed according to company standards
- Quality – including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
- Project Management – taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
- Construction Software & Processes – using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more
You will:
- Work on a large-scale Water & Wastewater project in Munster
- Supervise subcontractors
- Review works on site and report back to management
- Perform quality checks
- Ensure regular documentation is completed
- Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Wastewater Plants and infrastructure
What you’ll need to be successful
- At least 1 year of practical experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts!)
- Experience in Water, Wastewater, Utilities or Public Roads
- Willingness to learn new areas of construction and grow your career
- A full Irish or UK Driving Licence
- The right to work in Ireland or Northern Ireland indefinitely – Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position
- The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland
Please note this role requires location flexibility and flexibility to work shift patterns if required.
