Join Millbank
At Millbank, we’re building trust digitally.
We help councils and public sector organisations transform the way they communicate and engage with the people they serve.
By combining digital strategy, creative storytelling, social media, video production and audience insight, we help our clients build stronger relationships with residents, increase trust and deliver more meaningful public engagement.
Our work supports ambitious councils, NHS organisations and government bodies across the UK to communicate with greater clarity, confidence and impact in a digital-first world.
We’re growing quickly and are looking for an exceptional Digital Project Manager to help us deliver outstanding work for our clients while supporting the continued growth of our business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving, ambitious agency where you’ll be trusted with real responsibility from day one.
The role
As our Digital Project Manager, you’ll play a central role in the business.
Working closely with our COO and senior leadership team, you’ll coordinate projects, manage client relationships and ensure our work is delivered to an exceptional standard.
We’re not looking for someone to simply manage projects. We’re looking for someone who wants to own them.
No two days are the same. One week you might be planning the launch of a council communications campaign, coordinating video production, organising client workshops and preparing project reports. The next, you’ll be managing creative approvals, coordinating content delivery or supporting the rollout of a major public engagement programme.
You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes genuine pride in delivering outstanding work.
What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for:
Managing multiple client projects from planning through to delivery.
Coordinating work across our creative, digital and production teams.
Acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Developing project plans, timelines and delivery schedules.
Monitoring budgets, milestones, risks and deadlines.
Organising meetings, workshops and client presentations.
Preparing project documentation, reports and status updates.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.
Supporting our COO and leadership team with business planning and operational priorities.
Continuously improving internal processes as the business grows.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys making things happen.
You’ll be highly organised, naturally proactive and motivated by delivering outstanding work for clients. You’ll enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and ensuring every project runs smoothly from beginning to end.
You’ll ideally have hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Digital communications or communications planning
Social media management
Content creation and campaign delivery
Graphic design or creative production
Video production or video editing
Website or digital project delivery
Brand, marketing or creative campaigns
Agency account management or project management
You don’t need to be an expert in every discipline. What matters is that you understand how digital and creative projects come together, can work confidently with specialists and know what great delivery looks like.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about our clients and takes real pride in their work.
We’re ambitious, and we’re looking for someone who shares that ambition—someone who wants to deliver exceptional results, isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and is willing to go the extra mile to exceed expectations.
About you
Experience managing projects or coordinating multiple workstreams.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, communicate and build rapport with senior leaders across the public sector.
Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders, with a natural ability to foster and maintain trusted relationships.
The ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Excellent Microsoft 365 skills.
The confidence to work independently while collaborating as part of a close-knit team.
Experience within a creative agency, communications, marketing, local government or wider public sector environment would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
Our culture
Millbank is an ambitious business, and we’re building a team of people who share that ambition.
We’re collaborative, supportive and flexible, but we also set exceptionally high standards for ourselves and the work we deliver.
We’re driven by results and measure ourselves by the impact we create for our clients. We believe exceptional outcomes come from people who care deeply about their work, take ownership and are committed to delivering the very best every day.
We trust our people to think independently, solve problems and do what’s needed to exceed expectations. In return, you’ll be given genuine responsibility, the opportunity to grow quickly and the chance to help shape the future of a business that’s transforming digital communications across the public sector.
If you have an exceptional work ethic, enjoy working at pace and want to build something special, you’ll fit right in.
What we offer
Hybrid and flexible working.
A supportive and collaborative team environment.
Exposure to nationally recognised public sector projects.
Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Regular travel and varied, interesting work.
Genuine responsibility from day one.
The opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role as Millbank continues to expand.
Why join Millbank?
This is more than a project management role.
It’s an opportunity to help shape one of the UK’s fastest-growing public sector digital agencies.
You’ll work alongside experienced leaders, collaborate with ambitious organisations across the country and help transform the way councils engage with their residents through better digital communications, stronger public engagement and more impactful storytelling.
If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional work, thrive on responsibility and want to be part of something genuinely exciting, we’d love to hear from you.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 annually dependent on experience.
Closing Date: Friday 24 July. Immediate start available. Please note that the role may be closed early should the ideal candidate be sourced.
