Office Administrator (Transport)
Location: AbingdonJob Type: Temp to PermSalary: £32,500 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 7:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Office Administrator to join their busy transport team in Abingdon on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with previous transport or logistics administration experience who enjoys providing excellent customer service and working as part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the transport operation.
- Liaising with customers, drivers and Pallet-Track depots to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Handling a high volume of inbound telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.
- Monitoring deliveries and ensuring customer goods are delivered on time.
- Producing and maintaining KPI reports.
- Resolving delivery issues and communicating updates to customers.
- Supporting the wider office team with general administrative duties.
About You
- Previous administration experience within a transport or logistics environment is essential.
- Experience working with Pallet-Track or a pallet network would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work well under pressure in a busy office environment.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
- Must hold a UK driving licence
