Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role provides executive leadership for service quality, patient safety, operational performance, and financial delivery. The COO will be accountable not only for operational grip and performance recovery but also for the success of the transformation programme that will underpin Sirona’s future. Candidates will demonstrate a strong track record of rapid and sustainable performance improvement, a pragmatic understanding of productivity, performance, and waiting lists, and the ability to engage the entire workforce in a positive culture of continuous improvement under a ‘One Sirona’ banner. Experience of effective engagement with commissioners as well as an understanding of the range of funding formulas and contracting mechanisms will be essential, as will a nuanced and practical grasp of adapting operating models to diverse community contexts. The ideal candidate will translate organisational strategy into measurable outcomes across operational, workforce, quality, and financial domains while managing the dual imperatives of sustaining high performance and driving strategic transformation – a career‑changing opportunity.
